Traveling with family 🚐 01
If anyone asks who is closest to us in any work, it is the family. But when problems arise during the visit, that is a different story.
Anyway, on the day of Poya Day, the four of us were at home: my mother, father, sister and me.
So it's normal for us to go somewhere on that day, but most of the time we don't travel far because that's the only day my father has to rest, but somehow we talked and finally planned to go to Sigiriya. And that too the night before the Poya.
I'm going to write about that journey today,
Somehow, I was woken up at around 4:30 in the morning because I had to drive the entire trip, but even though I was bored, I willingly got ready.
We left home at around 5.30 am. When I looked at the distance from home, the map showed 120km. We continued our journey amidst the conversations of the group. Gradually, the light began to fade and before we knew it, by 7.30 am, we had stopped for breakfast and by the time we got there, we were in Kurunegala.
I couldn't say we were going on this trip just to visit the Dabulla Temple, but if we had time.
After eating, we started our usual journey, without stopping anywhere along the way. As we continued on our way, I remembered the journey I had taken with my friends a while ago. But more than that, I felt a difference in the journey.
I don't usually make mistakes when driving a van on the road because I was stuck in one place for about 3 months after an accident a few months ago. So since I had good experience, I thought I'd fix my mistakes.
But, a large truck that passed in front of me was testing my patience, I got caught in a traffic jam and I did my mistake.
Luckily for me, the police officers waved at me right when I made a mistake. I also admitted my mistake.
But the problem was that even though we were very close to our destination, we couldn't pay the fine because it was Poya Day. Anyway, it took us an hour to figure out this problem.Meanwhile, the police officer there became friendly with me and started talking about the accidents that happen every day.
In my opinion, if we act very carefully and responsibly in both roles, whether we are on the road as a driver or a passenger, we can reduce these accidents.
Anyway,
we finally passed through Dambulla town and arrived in Sigiriya around 11.00. Although it was not my first time, I was very interested in this trip.
