Friends, a long journey😋, part 3

There was happiness. There was no happiness for long. It was 7.30 pm. We didn't want to stop anywhere, so we driving because it was getting late.

After passing Polonnaruwa, we stopped by police officers. They told us to keep going and don't stop. They also told us to cover up for other large vehicles.

We didn't think much of it because  we didn't see any elephants today.we passed Giritale and approached Minneriya, we saw  wildlife officers on the road, but we didn't think to stop.

That second, two elephants on the side of the road in dark.We didn't fear, because there were many other vehicles with us,we went ahead, and we passed them.

After that,we have some sus that forest.I learned a lot about the Minneriya elephants.

Elephants are not live in one area. They walk about 10km in the forest every day. At night, elephants came to lakes, villages, and forests for find foods to them

Elephant cross road always same place. It is very dangerous to stay in these places in the evening and at night. We also continue on past these places and did not have to go very far. Forest protect officer's jeep passed us, we heard something said in hard words. We didn't understand what they said. It felt like some kind of special warning.

After about 200m , we saw large elephant  the middle of the road. We stopped the vehicle from a distance, other vehicles behind us.

The elephant on the road for 2-3 minutes, after he going into the forest because people's shouting. That time a forest officer told us.

"Go, go, don't stop anywhere, follow that truck. Don't come riding bikes at night......(he said something as i thin that's bad word)"

It is what it is

we continued our journey behind the large truck and before we knew it, we had reached Habarana.

we passed through the most difficult area, we were shown another 150km to go home.we saw time at 8.40pm. Everyone very tired, so we stopped at a tea shop.
